The Kazakh National Drama Theater named after M. Auezov has opened its jubilee, one hundredth theatrical season. In honor of this significant event, a solemn theatrical performance "A Step into the Century" took place.
The Minister of Culture and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Aida Balayeva, congratulated the theater staff on their centenary anniversary. The congratulatory address was read by the Chairman of the Committee on Culture of the Ministry of Culture and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Yerlan Dakenov.
"Theater is the spiritual wealth of the people, the foundation of our culture. Today, interest in theatrical art is growing in our country, and audience expectations are becoming higher. I believe that this is primarily the result of your hard work and boundless creative search. The theater named after the great Mukhtar Auezov occupies a special place in the development of national spirituality. I wish you further success in strengthening and prospering the Kazakh national theatrical art. May there be more new works that evoke deep emotions in discerning viewers and give spiritual wealth to every soul," the address reads.
Fragments from the best performances of the theater were presented on the stage. The concept of the evening focuses on the continuity of generations: through the work of outstanding actors who have made an invaluable contribution to the development of national theatrical art, the inseparable connection between the past and the present is revealed.

In addition, the theater museum prepared an interactive exhibition "National Theater. A Century-Long Path," which presents unique exhibits and archival materials in a modern multimedia format.
