More than 2,000 spectators attended the Kurmangazy Orchestra's concerts on Dombra Day.

The Kurmangazy Kazakh National Orchestra of Folk Instruments continues its series of performances as part of a concert program dedicated to National Dombra Day.
Today, the orchestra held concerts at two venues in Almaty – the Central Park and the MEGA Alma-Ata shopping and entertainment center. More than 2,000 residents and visitors attended.
The festive program included folk kuis, songs, and works by prominent Kazakh composers. The orchestra performed "Konil ashar," "Ata tolgauy," "Makhambet," "Balbyrauyn," "Adai," "Sary arka," "Sarzhaylau," "Asemm koynyr," "Konigly," "Bozingen," and other works representing various schools and styles of Kazakh traditional music. The concerts featured Nurgalym Amanbay, soloist of the Kazakh National Opera and Ballet Theater named after Abai; Zhaina Bauyrzhankyzy, traditional singer; and singers Askhat Urpekov and Aruzhan Alpyspayeva. Ardak Itekeyeva also performed.
Conducting were Honored Figure of Kazakhstan Zheksen Aisyn and laureate of international and national competitions Naryn Kazhgali.
The ensemble will conclude its series of festive performances for Dombra Day tomorrow with a final concert at MEGA Alma-Ata.
