"Developing Creative Industries in the Regions: New Priorities and Opportunities "

Erlan Kanalimov, Chairman of the Creative Industries Development Fund, held a meeting with the Fund's regional coordinators and representatives of local executive bodies responsible for creative industries development. The meeting focused on supporting creative projects in the regions, attracting investment, and promoting domestic creative products to international markets.
The meeting explored the potential of regional creative industries, mechanisms for supporting creative projects, and areas for further cooperation. The focus was on expanding opportunities for creators, promoting their projects to the market, and developing sustainable entrepreneurship in the creative sector.
The Fund intends to combine educational and practical support with tools for attracting investment and international cooperation. To this end, it plans to expand educational and acceleration programs for creators in the regions, refine business models for creative projects, and adapt them to market demands.
Particular attention was paid to the development of the "School of National Crafts" at the national level. The initiative aims to preserve traditional crafts, improve the professional skills of artisans, strengthen the market position of national products, and create new opportunities for income from crafts.
Attracting Investment in Regional Projects
To stimulate the development of creative projects, a Pitch Day is planned for November. During the event, regional creators and entrepreneurs will be able to present their projects to investors and explore funding opportunities.
The meeting also discussed the creation of a venture capital fund. Such a financial instrument could facilitate the development of promising creative projects, the emergence of new products and services, and the strengthening of creative entrepreneurship.
Opportunities for Entering International Markets
Another priority area identified is the promotion of domestic creative projects in international markets. In this regard, opportunities for cooperation with KOCCA and FosterBridge were explored.
International partnerships will allow regional creators to exchange experiences, find new partners, and present their products to international audiences.
Following the meeting, priorities for joint work on the development of creative industries in the regions were identified. The next stage plans to expand educational programs, attract investment, more effectively utilize the potential of regional creative hubs, and strengthen international ties. These measures are aimed at creating conditions for the sustainable development of creative projects and creative entrepreneurship in the regions.
