The Astana Opera soloist performed on the historic stage of the Bolshoi Theatre

Astana Opera soloist Nursultan Anuarbek performed on the historic stage of the Bolshoi Theatre in Richard Strauss's opera Salome under the baton of Valery Gergiev. His debut at one of the world's premier opera houses marked a significant professional milestone and a serious creative challenge for the artist.

The singer performed one of the most challenging roles, requiring utmost precision, an impeccable sense of rhythm, ensemble coherence, and vibrant dramatic expression.

The production had previously been staged with the participation of the legendary Metropolitan Opera. Renowned masters worked on the production: director Klaus Guth, set designer Etienne Plyuss, and costume designer Ursula Kudrna.

His performance at the Bolshoi Theatre was a logical continuation of an important stage in Nursultan Anuarbek's career. He had previously successfully passed three rounds of competitive selection and was accepted into the Bolshoi Theatre of Russia's Young Artists Opera Program, where training began at the end of November.
