A student from the Kazakh National Academy of Choreography won gold at the IX Beijing Ballet Competition.

From October 21st to 27th, the 9th Beijing Ballet Competition and Beijing Dance Academy Forum are taking place in China as part of the World Dance Education Alliance.
Kazakhstan was represented at the competition by Abilmansur Syrmanov, a student at the Kazakh National Academy of Choreography. He won a gold medal in the finals, performing the Albert Variation from Adolphe Adam's ballet "Giselle" and a contemporary piece.
The jury included renowned ballet masters Nina Ananiashvili, Vladimir Malakhov, Xing Lili, Eric Guillere, and others. Xiao Suhua, Zhao Ruheng, Feng Ying, and other artistic figures served as advisors to the competition.
Altynai Asylmuratova, Artistic Director of the Academy, noted that winning an international competition of this caliber strengthens Kazakhstan's standing on the global ballet scene.
This year, 57 dancers from 10 countries, representing the world's leading ballet schools, participated in the competition. The student trip was supported by the Ministry of Culture and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan, CNPC and PetroKazakhstan, and the Embassy of Kazakhstan in China.
