
The "Oner Tarlany" exhibition, dedicated to the 80th anniversary of Honored Artist of Kazakhstan, recipient of the "Kurmet" Order, film actor, and historian-collector Mentai Utepbergenov, opened at the Shaken Aimanov Kazakhfilm Studios.
The exhibition introduces visitors to the artist's creative legacy and the history of the formation and development of national cinema. The exhibition is based on materials from the Mentai Utepbergenov Film Museum—a unique collection formed through his many years of research and collecting.
The exhibition features film posters from the 1930s-1970s, movie cameras from various periods, postcards, film reels from the 1960s-1970s, a Kodak film projector from 1930, issues of the magazine "Soviet Screen," archival documents, and photographs from film sets. Mentai Utepbergenov made a significant contribution to Kazakhstani cinema not only as an actor but also as a researcher of its history. Over the years, he collected and preserved rare materials related to national and international cinema, building a collection of historical and cultural value.
