A concert dedicated to Bach's 340th anniversary will be held at the Astana Opera.

This year, it will open with a concert dedicated to the 340th anniversary of one of the world's greatest composers, Johann Sebastian Bach. Listeners will be treated to immortal sonatas and partitas by the great master.

J.S. Bach's sonatas and partitas for solo violin are considered the pinnacle of Baroque composition. Written in the early 18th century, these works still amaze with their emotional depth and technical complexity. Every chord and passage in these compositions embodies the composer's philosophical reflections on life, faith, and human destiny.

The project brings together the creative forces of well-known violinists in the republic, including Anel Shakirova, Akmaral Zhangazina, Madina Kapeu, Yerkebulan Saparbayev, and Assel Zhakiyanova. The musicians will perform under the leadership of the author and ideological inspirer of the project, Honored Worker of Kazakhstan Bagdat Abilkhanov. Recently, Bagdat Abilkhanov became a first-degree laureate of the prestigious "Grand Art Express - China" International Performing Arts Competition in the category "Instrumental Art. Violin."

Each subsequent concert in the cycle, as is tradition, will be a true musical event, as well as an opportunity to learn more about the context of the creation of the works. During the concerts, musicologists from "Astana Opera" help the audience better understand the composers' intention by offering informative mini-lectures accompanying the artists' performances.

The "Musical Alliance" cycle was born in 2024 and brings the joy of meeting domestic and foreign musicians. Its main goal is to promote national and world classics.
