The application period for the anniversary national awards "Tumar" and "Urker" as part of the Qazaqstan Media Awards has been extended until October 6, 2026. Applications are accepted on the official website of the awards, QMA.kz.
Works published or broadcast between September 18, 2025 and September 18, 2026, are eligible for the competition. Journalists, TV presenters, authors and creators of media projects, editorial staff, and creative teams of Kazakhstani media outlets are eligible to participate. Award nominations:

Special attention in 2026 will be given to new technologies and the future of journalism. For the first time, a nomination for projects in the field of artificial intelligence has been introduced, reflecting new directions in the development of the media sphere.
Competition entries will be evaluated by an independent jury consisting of renowned journalists, distinguished industry figures, and media experts. In 2026, in honor of the 10th anniversary of the national awards, "Tumar" and "Urker" will be held for the first time under the auspices of the Qazaqstan Media Awards. Over the years, the awards have become an important part of Kazakhstan's media landscape, annually recognizing journalists, editorial offices, and media projects that have contributed to the development of domestic journalism and media.
