National crafts are not only part of the past but also an important legacy that must be preserved for future generations. Today, passing on traditional knowledge and skills to young people is becoming a key task. It is with this goal in mind that the Creative Industries Development Fund is continuing to accept applications for the "National Crafts School" project.
The project is designed for children and young people aged 8 to 20. Participants will receive free training in 10 areas of national craftsmanship under the guidance of experienced artisans and learn traditional techniques firsthand.
During the classes, participants will not only become familiar with national craftsmanship techniques but will also create their first original pieces with their own hands, developing their creativity, artistic taste, and respect for the cultural heritage of their people.
The training will take place from July 27 to August 30, 2026, at the Qazaq Creative Hub in Astana (16/2 Zhoshy Khan Street).
Participation in the project is free. All necessary materials and tools will be provided by the organizers. The "School of National Crafts" is an educational project aimed at preserving traditions, developing the creative potential of young people, and popularizing national art. Its main goal is to make Kazakhstan's rich handicraft heritage more accessible and understandable to the next generation, inspiring young people to study and continue the traditions of their ancestors.
