The Creative Aimaq project, aimed at developing regional creative industries, has been launched in Astana. As part of the project, an exhibition under the concept "Heritage of the Great Steppe. Space of Inspiration. Economy of the Future" was held in the capital on June 13-14. During the exhibition, opportunities for partnership between government agencies, the Creative Industries Development Fund, and regional entrepreneurs were discussed.
During the meeting, issues of supporting local brands, developing the creative economy, and forming a unified ecosystem for promoting creative projects were discussed. Mechanisms for creating new markets for regional creators, commercializing products, and promoting domestic brands in international markets were also discussed.
As part of the project, more than 200 artisans, designers, artists, startup founders, and creative business representatives presented their products at the Qazaq Creative Hub. Visitors had the opportunity to explore jewelry, handicrafts made of wood, leather, and felt, collections of national clothing, musical instruments, and modern technological projects.
The goal of the Creative Aimaq project is to introduce Astana residents and visitors to the creative potential of the regions, local brands, and cultural initiatives. The first week of the project was dedicated to the Akmola region. Currently, approximately 1,000 businesses in the creative industries are registered in the region, underscoring the importance of this initiative for the development of the regional creative economy.
