The two-day "Night at the Opera" project at the Abai Kazakh National Opera and Ballet Theater concluded in Almaty.
On the second day, the project continued inside the theater. Over 500 guests took part in a musical tour through the theater's historic interiors, stage, rehearsal rooms, and backstage spaces.
Audience members learned about the work of the theater's production departments and visited the places where performances are created. The tour offered a fresh perspective on the production process and the theater's daily operations.
One of the evening's highlights was a concert among the theater's sets. The chamber format allowed for the musical program to be performed in close proximity to the audience and present academic art in a more open manner.
Over 200 artists participated in the two-day project, including leading soloists, young performers, a symphony orchestra, and a choir. The "Night at the Opera" project was one of the final events of the 92nd theater season and combined open-air performances, chamber concerts, and backstage tours, offering audiences a new way to experience theatrical art.
