The exhibition "My Kazakh heritage is my Kazakh heritage," organized for International Women's Day, has opened in Almaty. The project is dedicated to women whose names have left a significant mark on the history, culture, and art of Kazakhstan. The exhibition includes valuable exhibits from the Almaty Museum collection related to prominent representatives of Kazakh culture, according to the city's Department of Culture.
Visitors have the opportunity to experience the legacy of these remarkable individuals who played a vital role in the formation and development of national art and theatrical traditions. Among the exhibition's subjects are Khadisha Bokeeva, Roza Baglanova, Bibigul Tulegenova, Roza Zhamanova, Madina Yeraliyeva, and Saule Zhanpeisova. The exhibition halls feature their personal belongings, stage and concert costumes, archival photographs, documents, and portraits. The exhibition places special emphasis on concert and theater costumes, which convey the atmosphere of various stages in the development of Kazakh performing arts. Rare photographs and archival materials complement the exhibition, revealing not only the artists' creative paths but also aspects of their lives.
The project aims to highlight the significance of the female image in cultural space and to recall the rich legacy of outstanding representatives of Kazakh art.
