The National Central Museum of the Republic of Kazakhstan opened the exhibition "Uly dal oyyndary: tarikh pen dәstүr" (The Tale of the Ancient Kazakhs) in honor of National Sports Day as part of the "Nauryznama" decade. Visitors were presented with rare photographs from the 1947 ethnographic expedition, historical and ethnographic exhibits from the museum's collections, and objects related to traditional Kazakh games.
Of particular interest were unique photographs depicting hunting scenes and children playing asyk. The exhibition also included a togyzkumalak board, ashamay yer, asyk, and other artifacts, offering insight into the place of traditional games in Kazakh society and how they transmitted skills, traditions, and values.
As part of the event, a thematic excursion was held for students from the Keleshek School in Kaskelen. Museum staff told the schoolchildren about the history of the origins and characteristics of traditional games, and then introduced them to the rules and techniques of togyzkumalak, asyk atu, and other folk competitions.
