Turkey celebrated the 120th anniversary of Akhmet Zhubanov's birth.

Events dedicated to the 120th anniversary of the birth of Kazakh composer, conductor, and musicologist Akhmet Zhubanov were held in Ankara.
The anniversary program was organized by TURKSOY in collaboration with the Embassy of Kazakhstan in Turkey and the National Central Museum of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The events began with the opening of an exhibition in the General Secretariat building. The exhibition presented materials about the musician's life, work, and academic work, as well as his contribution to the development of Kazakh musical culture.
A documentary film dedicated to the life and career of Akhmet Zhubanov was also screened, along with an international roundtable discussion featuring representatives of the scientific and cultural communities of Kazakhstan and Turkey.
The program concluded with a concert by the Kurmangazy Kazakh National Folk Instruments Orchestra, which took place in the Muzaffer Sarysözen Amphitheater of the Ankara University of Music and Fine Arts. The events in Ankara became part of an international program dedicated to the 120th anniversary of Akhmet Zhubanov and contributed to the preservation of his creative legacy, as well as the strengthening of cultural ties between the Turkic states.
