The Rosa Baglanova Kazakh State Symphony Orchestra "Kazakhkontsert" presented a concert of piano music in Astana, combining a symphonic score and solo numbers.

The program included Concerto No. 2 by Dmitry Shostakovich, selected preludes by Sergei Rachmaninoff, as well as etudes by Alexander Scriabin.

The soloists were People's Artist of Russia, People's Artist of the Republic of Bashkortostan Vladimir Ovchinnikov - laureate of major international competitions, including the Tchaikovsky Competition and the Leeds Piano Competition, as well as Honored Artist of Russia Yuri Bogdanov - Professor of the Gnessin Russian Academy of Music, laureate of prestigious competitions and holder of the title Steinway Artist.

The Kazakh State Symphony Orchestra was created in 1991 at the initiative of the world-famous violinist, People's Artist of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Hero of Labor of Kazakhstan, Professor Aiman ​​Musakhajayeva, who is the artistic director of the ensemble.
