For Andrea Vanzo, creating music is a wonderful way to express his emotions and delve into the depths of feelings. His works attract listeners with their diversity. In addition to concerts, he has written music for theatrical productions and films, for which he has received numerous awards at international festivals. For his performance before Kazakh listeners, Andrea Vanzo has chosen several pieces that are especially close to him.
"Of course, Soulmate will be in the program - this is a piece that means a lot to me because it represents a deep connection with my mother. Then I decided to include Winter Waltz and Les Madeleines, two compositions that evoke, on the one hand, a connection with nature, and on the other - memories. Nature is a constant source of inspiration for me, and the landscape of Kazakhstan immediately struck me with its beauty and vastness. Each work tells a story, a certain moment in my life. It's a kind of intimate journey through my memories, love and important relationships. I think that music is my way of conveying what I otherwise wouldn't be able to express in words. I am always open to musical and cultural exchanges, especially between very different cultures, and it would be interesting to explore and, perhaps, rethink a traditional Kazakh melody, bringing my own style to it," - noted the composer.
Andrea Vanzo has previously performed in Kazakhstan. The musician recalls that his first performance in our country was truly emotional.
"I wasn't sure how I would be received, being a foreign composer, but the audience was incredibly warm and open. I was struck by the passion for music that you can feel here. It was an experience that left its mark on me. As for expectations for the upcoming concert, I try not to think about it too much; in fact, let's just say that I'm not really a stage person. I like to live in the present, to allow myself to be inspired by the music and the energy of the audience. However, after the success of my last concert in Kazakhstan, I am very happy to return. I didn't expect such a warm welcome the first time, so I just hope to convey the same emotions and gratitude again. It's not so much about success as it is about connection, about sharing something authentic," - said Andrea Vanzo.
