
The VIII International Scientific and Practical Seminar "Document Restoration: Conservatism and Innovations" was held in Moscow (Russia). The event brought together restorers, fund custodians, and specialized experts from Kazakhstan, Russia, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Egypt, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan. Representatives from the National Center of Manuscripts and Rare Books and the National Library of the Republic of Kazakhstan participated in the seminar from Kazakhstan.
During the seminar, leading experts from various countries presented professional developments, discussed current approaches to document restoration and conservation, and modern trends in the industry's development.
The practical part was dedicated to specialized trainings and master classes, during which participants familiarized themselves with various restoration methods and technologies, paper manufacturing, and bookbinding.
It should be noted that this seminar traditionally serves as one of the largest international platforms for exchanging best practices in the field of cultural heritage preservation.
