This unique event brought together rare and valuable exhibits of manuscripts and books found in Kazakhstan and abroad, and also presented the results of archaeological expeditions in 2024.
The exhibition became a real cultural event, emphasizing the importance of historical heritage. Among the exhibits were copies of 15 manuscripts and archival documents found in the UK, and more than 150 ancient manuscripts and rare books found in Kazakhstan.
Special attention was drawn to a copy of the Holy Quran (X-XII centuries), translated into Turkic for the first time, which is an important monument of Turkic-Islamic culture. The exposition also included the works of outstanding thinkers Abu Nasr al-Farabi, Khoja Ahmed Yasawi and Suleiman Bakyrgani, as well as the XI century manuscript of the Persian historian Gardizi "Zayn-al-akhbar".
At the third meeting of the National Kurultai, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev emphasized the importance of studying and promoting the history of the country, resolving language issues and onomastics, as well as preserving historical heritage and memorable places. Special attention was paid to enhancing work on the return of historical and cultural relics and their copies to Kazakhstan.
One of the key events of the exhibition was the presentation of a new format of the popular science magazine "ULY DALA MURASY" and a catalog-album about manuscripts stored in foreign countries, entitled "Valuable written heritage in foreign funds". These publications are designed not only to popularize the historical heritage of Kazakhstan, but also to contribute to its preservation for future generations.
In addition, the participants discussed the importance of collecting national values and their preservation, as well as current issues arising in this area today. These discussions underscored the need for joint efforts of all stakeholders to protect and promote the cultural heritage of Kazakhstan.
The event was attended by representatives of the Central State Archive, deputies of the Mazhilis of the Parliament, the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of Kazakhstan, as well as employees of libraries, archives and public figures.
