
On August 15-16, a Zhetisu region creative industries fair was held at the Qazaq Creative Hub in Astana as part of the national Creative Aimaq project.
Thirty regional creatives participated in the event, presenting products and projects in the fields of national crafts, design, art, gastronomy, and modern technology. Approximately 5,000 people visited the fair over the two days.
Direct sales of creative products totaled approximately 16 million tenge. Specifically, paintings by artists sold for 9 million 975 thousand tenge, handicrafts for 3 million 85 thousand tenge, national handicrafts for 800 thousand tenge, and other products for 961 thousand tenge.
Visitors also purchased electric bicycles, national toys and headwear, jewelry, wooden items, and felt shoes. Meanwhile, designer Zere Yesenbay signed a 40 million tenge contract for the design and production of stage costumes. Including direct sales and the contract, the fair's total economic impact amounted to approximately 56 million tenge.
A cultural program was also prepared for guests. A Jetisu Creative video dedicated to the region's cultural heritage and natural features was shown at the Nomad Art Hall. As part of the Nomad Style Show, Jetisu designers presented their signature collections, combining national motifs with contemporary trends in ethnic fashion.
The program was complemented by a performance by the M. Tulebayev Folk Instrument Orchestra. The B. Rimova Academic Drama Theater presented excerpts from the lyrical drama "Taptym-au Senі" and the one-man show "Mukagali." At the Ethno Village, guests learned about traditional Kazakh life, including national household items, horse harnesses, wood and bone crafts, and participated in pottery workshops.
