As part of its 93rd concert season, the Kurmangazy Kazakh National Orchestra of Folk Instruments presented its first program, "Qurmangazy: Next Cover Concert."
The project combined traditional Kazakh music with contemporary musical trends. Well-known pieces were performed in new arrangements featuring Kazakh folk instruments.
The orchestra featured Kazakh performers Dana Sabit, Diana Ismail, Abik Zheksen, Aruzhan Danyshpan, Askar Rysbek, Abil Zhuma, Gulnar Koshenova, and Gabit Bibasuly. Conducting the concert were international and national competition laureates Naryn Kazhgali and Adilbek Maksut.
The project aims to popularize Kazakh musical heritage, expand its contemporary stage presentation, and preserve national performance traditions.
