The large-scale cultural initiative of the "Er Edige" school, implemented in Aktobe as part of Nauryznam, has received international recognition. The project aimed to preserve and popularize the zhyrau tradition, develop national oral heritage, and support young performers.
For 24 hours, 36 zhyrshy performed works non-stop, rotating every three hours. The program included the epic cycle "Qyrymnyn Qyryk Batyry," comprising 36 dastans and approximately 31,000 lines, as well as "Paygambarlar Qissasy." The performance followed the traditional principle of continuous interludes, preserving the integrity of the narrative and conveying the characteristics of the ancient zhyrau school.
The results were officially recorded by the GBR World Book of Records representative for Asia and Africa. Following confirmation, the achievement was added to the world record registry. It's worth noting that the project became a significant event in reviving the tradition of continuous epic performance, which holds a special place in Kazakh spiritual culture. The initiative placed particular emphasis on transmitting zhyrau art to the younger generation and fostering interest in national heritage.
