On the instructions of the Head of State, the Ministry of Culture and Information continues to develop creative industries and improve state support measures for the sector.
In this regard, amendments have been made to the Order of the Minister of Culture and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan "On Approving the List of Economic Activities Related to the Creative Industry."
The amendments expanded the list of types of economic activity (OKED) related to the creative industry from 43 to 53 types.
The OKED includes the following types of creative activity:
"Web portal activities";
"Radio broadcasting";
"Cultural education";
"Advertising agency activities";
"Book publishing";
"Other types of publishing activities";
"Activities related to the distribution of film, video, and television programs";
"Activities related to the screening of films";
"Other types of printing production";
"Manufacture of products from cork, straw, and wicker materials."
Expanding the list will allow for the official identification of more creative industries, ensure their access to government support, increase transparency in the industry, and create additional opportunities for creative business development.
