An opera and symphony concert “Music without Borders” took place on the stage of “Astana Opera” with the support of the Ministry of Culture and Information.

The concert was opened by the symphonic kyui “Kyz kuu” by Tles Kazhgaliyev, the Astana Opera Orchestra performed under the direction of Honored Worker of Kazakhstan Abzal Mukhitdin. Saltanat Akhmetova performed Semiramida's aria from the opera of the same name by G. Rossini. Baritone Dinmukhamed Koshkinbayev performed the Kazakh folk song “Yapurai”.

Variations on a Rococo Theme for Cello and Orchestra by Pyotr Tchaikovsky were presented by the famous cellist Sergei Roldugin.

The musical evening concluded with violinist Pavel Milyukov performing Concerto No. 1 for Violin and Orchestra by D. Shostakovich.
