The International Competition of Young Choreographers was held in Astana.

The Kazakh National Academy of Choreography hosted the International Competition for Young Choreographers, timed to coincide with International Dance Day. The creative competition brought together participants from Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Belarus, Uzbekistan, Russia, Bashkortostan, and Azerbaijan.

The international jury included recognized industry specialists: Honored Artist of the RSFSR, Knight of the "Dostyk" Order of the II degree Konstantin Zaklinsky, international teacher-choreographer Irma Cardano, chief choreographer of the "Gulder" ensemble, Candidate of Art History Anvara Sadykova.

The program included competitive shows, master classes in national dances, as well as Irma Cardano's master class on Jose Limón technique. In addition, a forum "Digital transformation of art universities: challenges and prospects" was organized for delegation heads.

25 productions were presented in the second round of the competition. Young choreographers demonstrated a variety of artistic solutions, modern approaches to stage movement, and an author's vision of choreographic art.

Based on the results of the competition, Olga Nikolaychuk from Moscow and Bauyrzhan Salauatov from Astana became laureates of the I prize. Alibi Iskandirov from Almaty and Yersultan Toigulov from Astana were awarded the II prize, while Anna Borshchova from Minsk and Faim Kibirov from Almaty received the III prize.

Special prizes were also awarded for the preservation of national traditions, creative perspective, and professional excellence. Individual participants received certificates for a summer internship from the Barcelona Ballet Project.
