The Yasawi Museum in Turkestan hosted a cultural event, "Honor the Teacher – An Example for Descendants," organized by the National Historical and Cultural Museum-Reserve "Aziret Sultan."
The project aimed to strengthen ties between the museum and schools and introduce teachers to the museum-reserve's cultural and educational programs.
The event was attended by representatives of Turkestan's comprehensive schools, teachers responsible for educational work, supplementary education specialists, homeroom teachers, and subject teachers.
During the meeting, the active school principals were presented with letters of gratitude and commemorative gifts. Participants also listened to reports on the museum's scientific and educational activities, after which several teachers were accepted into the "Yasavi Studies Club."
The cultural program continued with performances by artists from the Congress Hall multidisciplinary complex and museum educator Saken Konysbekov. Participants of the "Young Guide" club gave guests a guided tour of the museum.
The teachers also learned about the history and values of the Yasawi Museum, its ongoing educational projects, and opportunities for collaboration with schools. On the museum's third floor, a book exhibition from the library of the Yasawi Studies Research Center was on display, along with a children's art exhibit featuring drawings, handicrafts, and other works by members of museum clubs.
The event demonstrated that a museum space can be not only a repository of historical heritage but also a vibrant educational platform, bringing together teachers, students, and cultural institutions.
