Dimash Kudaibergen on the set of «Taimas»: how a film about border guards is made

Dimash Kudaibergen visited the set of the feature film "Taimas," which recently began production in Kazakhstan. The actor met with the director, actors, and creative team, chatted with the crew, and wished the project success.

Dimash's visit was a warm gesture of support for the film crew. The film is directed by Galym Asylov, the author of many of Dimash Kudaibergen's music videos. The actor's younger brother, Mansur Kudaibergen, is also composing the music.

"Taimas" is the first Russian feature film dedicated to the service of the Border Service of the National Security Committee of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The story centers on officer Nurlan, who, after the death of his canine partner, tries to start anew. However, fate brings him together with another service dog, Taimas, who survived the loss of his owner in battle. Thus begins a story of trust, friendship, and inner healing. In the film, Nurlan and Taimas not only help each other cope with a difficult past but also face a new threat together – an attack by smugglers. Through this story, the filmmakers aim to showcase the courage of those guarding the border, as well as the special bond between a person and a service dog.

Specially trained service dogs are participating in the filming, and professional dog handlers are serving as consultants for the project. This aims to help the filmmakers accurately depict the work of border guards and canine services.

The film is being produced by the i1team film company with the support of the State Center for National Cinema Support. The project also features actors selected through the national casting call "JARQYRA," held by the Cinema Center in 2025.
