From October 7 to 11, the 78th International Book Fair "Frankfurter Buchmesse 2026" is taking place in Frankfurt am Main, Germany. With the support of the Ministry of Culture and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Kazakhstan's national stand is present at the fair for the third year in a row.
This year, the Kazakh delegation included more than 30 participants. The stand features approximately 300 books from Atamura, Mektep, Almatykіtap, Arman-PV, Sardar, Mazmundam, Otbasy Khrestomatiyasy, Steppe & World Publishing, AmalBooks, Umai Books, WiK, Safitales, and other publishing houses. One of the key events was the presentation of the book-performance "Mängiläk Bala Beyne" by renowned writer and member of the Kazakh National Union of Kazakhs, Roza Mukanova. The work was republished in a special format in Kazakh and English. Following the presentation, the author held a book signing for readers.
In addition, Arman-PV Publishing House presented Zhanat Aimukhambet's book "BÖRTE Uly Dala Patshayymy," and Almatykіtap Baspasy presented two new titles: "Turkestan. Eternal and Always New" and "Dimash. Shakespeare's Music." The fair also featured presentations of Orazal Sabden's book "Alem, Abay, Zhasandy Intellect Zholy" and the publications "Garold and LaraBell." "Books for the 10th Anniversary" and "Books for the 10th Anniversary" are also featured.
In addition to book presentations, the fair features professional meetings with representatives of publishing houses from Canada, China, Turkey, Azerbaijan, Denmark, Germany, the UK, and other countries. Kazakhstani participants exchange experiences with their international colleagues, learn about modern publishing trends, and discuss prospects for joint projects.
