This important step is aimed at expanding cultural ties between the two countries and strengthening the film industry, the press service of the Ministry of Culture and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan reported.

The parties agreed to cooperate in the distribution of film products in the partner's territory.

"The distribution of film products abroad plays an important role in promoting cultural diversity. We appreciate the cooperation with the National Center for Cinematography and Animation of France and look forward to exchanging expertise and supporting the promotion of film products," – said Kurmanbek Zhumagali, Chairman of the National Cinema Support Center of Kazakhstan.

The National Center for Cinematography and Animation of France is ready to assist in promoting Kazakh films in France and dubbing French films into the Kazakh language.

The National Center for Cinematography of France (Centre National de la Cinematographie - CNC) is a public institution under the authority of the Ministry of Culture and Communications. The CNC performs the following functions: develops legislative and regulatory texts; issues permits for investing in the production, distribution and sale of video; manages film support funds (11% of box office revenues) that provide financial assistance in production or distribution and guarantee returns; supports the film sector; manages archives; research and statistics.
