On the eve of Science Day, a meeting of the Scientific Council was held at the National Archives of the Republic of Kazakhstan on the topic "Scientific Council and Archives: Influence on the Research and Publication of Documentary Heritage".

During the meeting, issues of studying documentary heritage, introducing archival materials into scientific circulation, and preparing publications were discussed. Participants of the meeting were presented with research work with archival funds, as well as the progress of relevant projects and the expansion of the source base.

Issues of holding an international scientific and practical conference "National Archives – 20 years: Golden Fund of the Nation's Memory" were also discussed in anticipation of the 20th anniversary of the National Archives of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Following the meeting, the importance of further developing scientific activity in the archival field, expanding access to historical documents, and popularizing the national documentary heritage was noted.
