On July 25-26, the East Kazakhstan Region Creative Fair, organized as part of the national Creative Aimaq project, was held at the Qazaq Creative Hub in Astana.
The event brought together approximately 50 representatives of the region's creative industries. Designer brands, artisan products, and contemporary creative initiatives were showcased.
Additionally, over the course of two days, residents and visitors to the capital enjoyed master classes in arts and crafts, design, and creative writing.
One of the program's key events was a performance by the SAMGA Children's Theater based on Abai's novel "Bolys Boldym, Minekey." Furthermore, a tour package for two along one of the most scenic routes in the East Kazakhstan Region was raffled off among visitors.
Over the two days, approximately 1,500 people visited the fair. By the end of the event, sales of products and services from East Kazakhstan creatives totaled 3.8 million tenge. Visitors were presented with a wide range of original products, including ceramics, textiles, home decor, paintings, wood and leather goods, and souvenirs.
The Creative Aimaq project aims to develop regional creative industries, promote local creators, and create new opportunities for selling their products.
To date, the project has held six regional creative fairs, attended by approximately 16,000 people, and total sales of creative products exceeded 25.3 million tenge.
