The event was timed to coincide with the Decade of Kazakh Cinema, during which the documentary film "Kyz Zhibek: a recipe for love and success" was presented.
Meruert Utekesheva, general producer and one of the leading actresses of the film, shared with the audience her impressions of the work on the project. In her speech, she emphasized the importance of preserving Kazakh traditions and culture through the art of cinema, noting that the film is a search for answers to important questions concerning the development of Kazakh cinema.
"This film is about the parallels and transformation of time - the 60s-70s and the present. We are looking for an answer to the question of why, in the 50 years of Kazakh cinema history, no work has been created that could rise to the same level as the film epic "Kyz-Zhibek" by Sultan Khodzhikov, which has become a pearl of our national culture," Meruert Utekesheva noted.
She also added that the film is dedicated to the love of cinema and the feat of the team of creators who overcame all difficulties and gave a piece of their soul to the project.
The Decade of Kazakh Cinema, organized with the support of the Ministry of Culture and Information and the State Center for Support of National Cinema, continues to introduce viewers to outstanding works of Kazakh cinema.
