The creative association "Kazakhanimation", with the support of the Ministry of Culture and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the "Kazakhfilm" film studio named after Shaken Aimanov, launched the educational program "From Idea to Cartoon" in Astana.

The project covers the key stages of creating an animated film — from developing an idea to its implementation. As part of a series of master classes, participants study storytelling, visual narration, the creation of animated worlds, as well as financial planning and the features of various production techniques.

The program runs from July 28 to October 11, 2025. Specialists from Finland, Canada, France and Armenia with experience in the international animation industry are involved in the training.

Each of the invited experts covers a separate topic: from the preparation of pitch decks and dramaturgy to documentary animation and transfer techniques. The format of the events includes both theoretical and practical classes.

Online broadcasts are also available for a wide audience on the official YouTube channel "Kazakhfilm".

The project is being implemented as part of efforts to develop the animation sector in Kazakhstan and create a professional educational environment for industry specialists.
