The main character Samat is a former prisoner, alcoholic and abuser who undergoes heart transplant surgery after imprisonment. After the operation, he feels strange changes. Samat begins to look at the world and his own actions in a new way.

“In fact, donation is not the main topic. It's more about the fact that any person can change. I don’t expect people to be perfect, but you should sometimes think about what is happening in our life. I once saw a photograph in which the parents of a guy who became a posthumous donor listen to his heart beating in the chest of another person. This picture shocked me. We wrote the script for nine months, and took many moments from life,” – says the director of the film, Maxim Kodarov.

It should be noted that the film "Fragrant Heart" is Maxim Kodarov's debut in full-length cinema. The script for it was written by Natalya Bespechnaya and Elena Vovnova, and the project was produced by Sain Gabdullin. The film production was carried out by Alizhanfilm and Kino Company studios.

The main roles in the film were played by Erzhan Nurymbet and Ainur Bermukhambetova, and Tagir Mirzadinov, who played the son of the main character, became the young star of the film.

"Fragrant Heart" is a film about change, inner struggle and the search for a path to oneself. The plot touches not only on the topic of transplantation, but also on important social problems such as bullying, crisis situations in the family and issues of support in difficult moments of life.
