The exhibition "Kazakhstan Through the Eyes of the Elderly" opened at the Abylkhan Kasteyev National Museum of Arts of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Participants in the "Painting and Drawing" course at the Bostandyk branch of the Almaty Center for Active Ageing presented their works.
The exhibition featured approximately 40 paintings, including landscapes and still lifes. In their works, the artists captured the beauty of nature, their life experiences, and their personal perceptions of the world around them.
The Active Ageing Center was established in 2022 with the support of the Almaty Department of Employment and Social Programs. It offers creative, educational, and wellness programs for retirees. The "Painting and Drawing" course helps participants develop artistic skills and explore their creative potential.
The exhibition will run until October 27.
