A concert dedicated to the 120th anniversary of Xian Xinghai was held at the Zhambyl Philharmonic

A concert dedicated to the 120th anniversary of the birth of the outstanding Chinese composer Xian Xinghai was held at the Kazakh State Academic Philharmonic named after Zhambyl with the support of the Consulate General of the People's Republic of China in Almaty.
The anniversary event became an important cultural event reflecting the long-standing ties and friendship between the peoples of Kazakhstan and China. The concert program was dedicated to the creative legacy of Xian Xinghai, as well as his historical friendship with the Kazakh composer Bakhytzhan Baikadamov, whom he met in Almaty during World War II.
The guests were greeted by the head of the Representative Office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Almaty Zhanibek Abdrashov, the Consul General of the People's Republic of China in Almaty Jiang Wei and the director of the Philharmonic Akan Abdualiev.
The concert was attended by the State Academic Symphony Orchestra of the Republic of Kazakhstan named after T. Abdrashev, the State Choir named after. B. Baikadamova and soloists. The program included significant works by the composer - the symphonic poem "Amangeldy" and the cantata "Yellow River", as well as "Kazakh Dances" and "In the Taihan Mountains", symbolizing the cultural unity of the two peoples. The Zhambyl Philharmonic will continue to implement international cultural initiatives that promote the development of interstate cooperation and the strengthening of humanitarian ties.
