- I would like to note that our team has a long creative life. In 1988, the premiere of the Tattimbet Academic Orchestra of Kazakh Folk Instruments took place, featuring People's Artists of the USSR Ermek Serkebayev, Bibigul Tulegenova, and Shamgon Kazhgaliyev. Shamgon Sagaddinovich worked as the artistic director and chief conductor of this orchestra from 1991 until the end of his life. The history and repertoire of our orchestra are very rich, today it employs more than 70 people, - commented Erlan Baktygerey. - We have been working with opera and operetta genres for many years. Our repertoire includes the opera "Kyz Zhibek", which we perform with a folk instrument orchestra. In 2013, together with the TURKSOY organization, we recorded the operetta "Arshin Mal Alan" by the famous Azerbaijani composer Uzeyir Hajibekov for the Kazakh folk instrument orchestra. In addition, we participated in the creation of a ballet performance dedicated to Nurgisa Tlendiev, on the stage of the K. Baiseitova Opera and Ballet Theater.

This year marks the 100th anniversary of the composer Sydyk Mukhamedzhanov. He is a native of the Karaganda region, so the musical group is especially proud of the opportunity to perform his works. The composer paid special attention to the genre of comedy in his creative works. In addition, Sydyk Mukhamedzhanov was the first to write a concerto for an orchestra of Kazakh folk instruments, dombra and kobyz. In each of his works, "the spirit of the Kazakh steppe and the smell of wormwood hovers." On the eve of the anniversary of the great classic, the Tattimbet Academic Orchestra of Kazakh Folk Instruments was invited to participate in the Operalia festival, which is taking place these days at the Astana Opera Theater. The musicians prepared a large program, composed of works by S. Mukhamedzhanov, as well as works by other composers, and added Kazakh folk songs and tunes,
