A modern historical and cultural center has opened in Kyzylorda. The project partners are the Kyzylorda region’s Akimat and the Samruk-Kazyna Trust Fund on behalf of the Samruk-Kazyna JSC group of companies. The new cultural site has become a significant gift to the region's residents and an important element in the development of the region's cultural and tourist infrastructure.
The opening ceremony was attended by Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan Yermek Kosherbayev, Akim of the region Nurlybek Nalibayev, Managing Director of Samruk-Kazyna JSC Gibrat Auganov, Deputy of the Senate of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan Ruslan Rustemov, as well as representatives of the public.
“We believe that the younger generation will learn more about the history and culture of the region through this center. Here, each exhibit is evidence of our spiritual wealth, a golden bridge between the past and the present. Over the past four years, the Samruk-Kazyna Fund has supported 13 social projects in the Kyzylorda region. Last year we opened the Table Tennis Center, and by the end of this year we plan to launch a rehabilitation center for children. Congratulations to everyone on the opening of such an important cultural and historical center,” said Gibrat Auganov.
The modern museum building is designed to accommodate more than 250 thousand exhibits, which is 3.5 times more than the fund of the current regional museum. The area of the new building is twice as large as the former local history museum, which was located in a building built in 1953.
The exposition is located in 12 halls, covering key stages in the history of the region and the country: paleontology, archeology, the era of the Kazakh Khanate, ethnography, the history of the Kyzylorda region, the heritage of the Alash Horde, the Great Patriotic War, culture and art, socio-economic development, space exploration and the formation of independence of Kazakhstan.
For a deep immersion in the exhibition, the museum has introduced modern digital technologies: an artificial intelligence system, panoramic and dioramic installations, as well as interactive LED screens, making excursions visual and exciting.
Over the past 5 years alone, the Samruk-Kazyna Trust Fund has implemented 13 projects in the Kyzylorda region for a total of 1.8 billion tenge. These include a table tennis center, the Kamkorlyk rehabilitation center, a sports complex, as well as other social initiatives.
