From September 12 to 14, the Astana Ballet Theatre will tour Kostanay Region. On the stage of the Kostanay Regional Philharmonic named after U. Umurzakov, the capital's troupe will present a unique program that combines world classics, folk choreography and modern ballet.
On September 12, the capital's theatre will present a one-act masterpiece - the ballet Carmen Suite by choreographer Alberto Alonso, based on Georges Bizet's opera Carmen, orchestrated especially for this production by composer Rodion Shchedrin. This is a unique diamond of the 20th century ballet art: bright, rich in contrasts, music, an interesting choreographic concept.
In the second part, viewers will enjoy the play Arcana of Fate staged by Mukaram Avakhri to the music of the famous Kazakhstani composer Karina Abdullina. The evening will be accompanied by a symphony orchestra conducted by the theater's principal conductor, Arman Urazgaliyev.
On September 14, the Philharmonic will host the theater's signature performance, the divertissement "Heritage of the Great Steppe" staged by Honored Worker of Kazakhstan Aigul Tati. This concert program brings together the latest achievements of Kazakh choreographic art, presents original and unusual combinations of ethnographic elements, dance traditions and modern solutions of choreographers, which are accompanied by visual and artistic effects and colorful costumes.
The tour will be supported by the Ministry of Culture and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
