Astana celebrated International Youth Day with the large-scale open-air festival JASTAR DAY. Held in the summer amphitheater on the Yesil River embankment, the event brought together hundreds of young residents and visitors to the capital.
The festival served not only as a concert venue but also as a space for networking, sharing experiences, and exploring new opportunities. The program combined several areas important to today's youth: education, career development, digital technologies, ecology, legal culture, and the creative industry.
Particular attention was paid to the "Taza Kazakhstan" and "Law and Order" initiatives. Participants discussed personal responsibility, environmental awareness, a safe urban environment, and crime prevention among adolescents and students.
A separate section of the festival was dedicated to professional skills development. Young people were informed about opportunities for education, employment, formal part-time work, and mastering in-demand professions. These areas included graphic design, artificial intelligence, mobile imaging, targeting, sewing, and blue-collar jobs.
The musical portion of JASTAR DAY continued with performances by popular Kazakhstani artists. Among those taking the stage were Ersultan Omar, Sheru Nuray, Erkebulan & Bauyrzhan, Ilyas Kabdyray, Baxa, Rick, and Abzal Uteshov.
The festival demonstrated that youth policy today extends beyond one-time celebratory events. Such platforms help bring together active young people, support their ideas, and develop volunteerism, entrepreneurial skills, and interest in social initiatives.
