Astana hosted a memorial concert in honor of the outstanding artist, People's Artist of Kazakhstan, Russia and Tatarstan, world-class conductor Fuat Mansurov.

The concert program included works by composers of world and national classical music, from masterpieces of the Western European symphonic tradition to striking examples of Kazakh and Eastern musical culture.

The event was attended by People's Artists of Kazakhstan and Tatarstan, honored cultural figures, as well as soloists of leading philharmonic societies and orchestras.

Fuat Mansurov is an iconic figure in the musical space of post-Soviet and world art. The maestro made an invaluable contribution to the development of the symphony and opera scene, conducting leading orchestras in Russia, Kazakhstan, Europe and Asia. He was famous for his deep reading of the classical repertoire and commitment to national music. His name has become a symbol of high skill, intelligence and spirituality in the art of conducting. A photo exhibition dedicated to the maestro’s creative path was organized in the foyer of the concert hall.
