Astana Opera concluded its tour at the Sirius-Rosa Khutor festival with a national program

The Astana Opera Theatre concluded its tour at the Sirius-Rosa Khutor International Arts Festival in Sochi. The company's final performance was the Nomad Ballet evening, presenting a contemporary interpretation of the culture and history of the Great Steppe.
The ballet dancers and the HasSak ethno-folklore group performed on the stage of the Rosa Hall Concert Complex. Choreography, traditional instruments, set design, and lighting created a unified stage space exploring themes of national identity, historical memory, and intergenerational connections.
The program included the compositions "Toy Bastar," "Aralym," "Kily Zaman," "Mangurt," and other pieces. The audience also enjoyed a duet from the new ballet "Four Truths – One Eternity." The final number was "RUH," which united the ballet dancers and HasSak musicians. Choreographer Sultanbek Gumar's productions explored national images through classical and contemporary dance. Particular attention was paid to the interaction of choreography with the live sounds of ethnic instruments.
The Astana Opera tour ran from July 11th to 16th. The theater also presented Léo Delibes's ballet "Coppelia," choreographed by Roland Petit, and a gala concert featuring works of world classics and contemporary choreography.
