At the MIPCOM 2026 international television and audiovisual content market in Cannes, the Shaken Aimanov Kazakhfilm Studio is presenting domestic films and negotiating with foreign partners about international distribution opportunities.
Studio representatives Aidar Omarov and Olga Khlashcheva are participating in the event. Film projects from the State Center for National Cinema Support (National Joint-Stock Company) are also being presented at the international market.
The delegation met with representatives of the French film company mk2 Films, Library Kingdom Cooperation, the Turkish Radio and Television Corporation TRT, Kanal D International, the Japanese Broadcasting Corporation NHK, and the RTL Group.
During the talks, the parties discussed the acquisition and sale of film rights, the possibility of showing them on international television channels and digital platforms, as well as prospects for joint distribution and production of film projects. Kazakhfilm's participation in MIPCOM 2026 is part of its ongoing efforts to promote Kazakhstani cinema on the international market. Negotiations with international partners open up additional opportunities for distributing domestic film projects and expanding their international audience.
