National Cinema Days have begun in Kazakhstan. The opening ceremony took place in the village of Novoishimskoye in the Gabit Musrepov District of the North Kazakhstan Region.
The main goal is to make national cinema accessible to residents of all regions, including remote settlements. The opening included a screening of "Captain Baitasov," a film based on true events and dedicated to the heroic deeds of Khalyk Kaharmany, police captain Gaziz Baitasov.
For a week, residents of the region will be able to watch the best Kazakhstani films produced with state support. A Digital Museum, an interactive space introducing the history of the region through modern technology, also opened in the region at the "Digital Zerde" district creative IT center. The project is part of the Digital Aimaq initiative, aimed at developing digital and creative infrastructure in rural areas.
Last year, Cinema Days screenings were held in all regions of the country, reaching approximately 2 million viewers. This year, the project will continue in other regions, presenting films that reflect the history, culture, and spiritual values of Kazakhstan.
