A creative fair for the Abay region has opened at Qazaq Creative Hub.

Today, the Qazaq Creative Hub in Astana has become a unique cultural space, uniting the national heritage and contemporary creative potential of the Abay region. As part of the national Creative Aimaq project, the grand opening of the creative exhibition and fair "Homeland of Pioneers – the Sacred Land of Abay" took place.
The two-day event aims to introduce residents and visitors to the region's creative potential, traditional crafts, cultural heritage, and contemporary trends in the creative industry of the Abay region.
The exhibition features 842 exhibits created by regional artisans, including 772 pieces of decorative and applied art and 70 paintings by artists from the city of Semey. Visitors can see and purchase felt products, tekemets, carpets, patchwork quilts, clothing in national and modern styles, children's clothing, jewelry, bags, wood and leather art, torsyks (short fur hats), kamchi (short fur hats), national musical instruments, sculptures, paintings, and souvenirs.
The Abai Museum, the Abai Library, and the Regional Museum of History and Local Lore will present special exhibitions at the event. Additionally, the Abai IT Valley showcases the region's IT projects, digital solutions, and artificial intelligence developments, allowing visitors to explore the region's modern technological capabilities.
The exhibition and fair introduces guests not only to the region's creative products but also to its culinary specialties. Visitors are offered the national sweet "Adal as," kumys from the village of Sarzhal in the Abay district—winner of the Grand Prix at the BaiQymyz-2025 international festival—as well as saumal ice cream from the Qazice company.
The national Creative Aimaq project aims to develop creative industries in Kazakhstan's regions, support local brands, promote their products to new markets, and widely promote the potential of the country's creative communities.
