The event was dedicated to the 140th anniversary of the birth of the folk poet, singer and composer, founder of the Zhetysu professional song school "Alatauдың бұлбұлы" Kenen Azerbayev.

The concert program featured works by Kenen Azerbayev, such as "Қордай", "Анама", "Бозторғай", as well as other works by Nurgisa Tlendiev and contemporary Kazakh composers. One of the brightest followers of Kenen Azerbayev's work, People's Artist of Kazakhstan, singer and composer Altynbek Korazbayev, who spoke about the importance of the work and life of the Kazakh poet, also performed on the stage. People's Artist of Kazakhstan Ramazan Stamgaziev, Honored Worker of Kazakhstan Nurzhan Zhanpeisov, Excellent Worker of Culture Sholpan Darzhanova, Beybit Musaev, as well as soloists of the Philharmonic took part in the concert. The orchestra was conducted by Honored Worker of Kazakhstan Zhalgasbek Begendikov, and the artistic direction was carried out by Honored Worker of Kazakhstan Dinzuhra Tlendieva.

The festive concert was attended by descendants of Kenen Azerbayev, led by Tortken Kenenovna, who actively promotes the poet's work among a wide audience.
