The Azerbaijan Mambetov State Drama and Comedy Theater from Astana presented Kazakh culture at the international program of the Theater Boulevard Festival in Moscow.
At one of the largest summer theater venues in the Russian capital, the Kazakh company presented the play "Tradition." The production introduced Moscow audiences to the world of Kazakh customs, folk music, and national performing arts.
Performances took place on August 14 at the amphitheater on Pokrovsky Boulevard and on August 15 on Pushkinskaya Embankment in Gorky Park. The participation of the Kazakh theater was part of the festival's international program, which also features artists from China, Indonesia, Mexico, Iran, and European countries.
The Theater Boulevard Festival brings together various genres and styles of performing arts. This year, its international program introduces audiences to the theatrical, musical, and dance traditions of various countries. The performance by the Azerbaijan Mambetov Theatre provided an opportunity to introduce international audiences not only to the Kazakh stage but also to the nation's cultural heritage through the language of theatre, music, and traditional ritual.
