Days of Culture of Abay Region Held in Kazan

Exhibitions, concerts and other events were held as part of the Days of Culture. The delegation of Abay region, headed by the Akim of the region Nurlan Urankhayev, met with colleagues from Tatarstan and laid flowers at the monument to the great Kazakh poet Abay Kunanbayev, installed in Kazan on the Day of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

One of the main events of the Days of Culture was the opening of the exhibition "Love all mankind as your brother..." in the Kazan Kremlin, organized by the Zhidebay-Borili Museum-Reserve. The exposition included a collection of unique exhibits related to the great figures of Kazakh culture, such as Abay Kunanbayev, Shakarim Kudaiberdyuly and Mukhtar Auezov.

The Days of Culture were also marked by a performance of the pop-symphonic orchestra of the Akim of Abay region under the direction of Kenzhegul Akshekina. The concert was held in the S. Said-Galiev Palace of Culture. The program included works of Kazakh and Tatar music, presented in Kazakh, Russian and Tatar languages. The event was attended by famous cultural figures of Kazakhstan, such as Mapruza Utulenova and Yerlan Ryskali, singer Tolegen Rakhymbayev and other artists.

In addition, a festive concert organized by the Amre Kashaubaev State Philharmonic took place at the Galiasgar Kamal Tatar State Academic Theater. The program, performed by the orchestra of Kazakh folk instruments under the direction of Nurlan Tokey, included works by Kazakh composers Latif Khamidi, Akhmet Zhubanov and Nurgisa Tlendiev. Book exhibitions and Kazakh language lessons were also held as part of the Days of Culture.

Kazakhstan and Tatarstan continue to strengthen cultural ties, being a vivid example of intercultural interaction. Cooperation between the Abay region and Tatarstan covers a wide range of interaction. A Tatar school of arts operates in the city of Semey, and a monument to the great Tatar poet Gabdulla Tukay and a bust of the national hero Musa Jalil have also been erected. The main holiday of the Tatar people - Sabantuy - is also celebrated annually on a large scale.
