On behalf of the President, cultural and art workers were awarded in honor of their professional holiday

A festive event dedicated to the Day of Culture and Art Workers was held in Astana. Aida Balayeva, Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Culture and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan, deputies of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan, as well as employees of the sphere, took part in it.

Congratulating the representatives of the industry, the Deputy Prime Minister noted that culture occupies a special place in the spiritual development of society and the formation of national identity. Today, about 60 thousand people work in the sphere of culture and art in Kazakhstan. Over the past three years, 592 people in the cultural sphere have been awarded state awards, and cultural and media workers have received certificates for 331 apartments on behalf of the Head of State. In this regard, Aida Balayeva, on behalf of all representatives of the sphere, expressed gratitude to the Head of State for his constant support, attention, and care for the development of national culture.

"The special attention that the Head of State pays to the cultural sphere is of particular importance to all of us. Every year, the President congratulates culture and art workers on their professional holiday and awards state awards to the best representatives of the industry. Today, the Head of State initiated granting the M. Gorky State Academic Russian Drama Theater and the Y. Rakhmadiyev State Academic Philharmonic the status of "National". This is a high appreciation of your tireless work in the field of art and culture, your high professionalism, creative search, and dedication to your work, as well as a vivid recognition of your invaluable contribution to the development of the country's spiritual wealth. I wholeheartedly congratulate the collectives on this historic and truly significant decision," said the Deputy Prime Minister.

Along with this, it was noted that the system of professional recognition is developing in the sphere: the honorary title "Khalyk Artist" has been restored, a new award "Asyl Mura" has been introduced, the amounts of state scholarships have been increased, and for the first time in many years, funds have been allocated for the acquisition of instruments for musical educational institutions and state concert organizations.

In addition, during the ceremony, 32 representatives of the culture and art sphere were honored with awards. By the Decree of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, state awards were received by 17 people. Among them are theatre and film actress, theatre teacher, professor Zhumakul Meyramova, awarded the "Barys" Order of the III degree, singer, composer, director of the Zhusipbek Elebekov Republican Variety and Circus College Zhenis Seidullauly, awarded the "Parasat" Order, as well as representatives of theatrical, musical, museum, scientific, restoration, and concert directions.

Another 15 industry workers were awarded departmental awards. Among them are Talgat Ibraev, head of the folk folklore ensemble "Arka Awenderi" of the Zerendy District House of Culture of Akmola region, Rakhima Zhaksybayeva, methodologist of the storage and conservation department of the Directorate of United Museums, as well as employees of regional houses of culture, museums, theaters, philharmonics, creative educational institutions, and concert organizations.
