The event is dedicated to the 100th anniversary of Nagym-Bek Nurmukhammedov, Candidate of Art History, People's Artist of the Kazakh SSR, and is an important event in the cultural life of the country.
Nagym-Bek Nurmukhammedov is a bright representative of Kazakh fine art, an artist who made a great contribution to the development of our national culture. In his works, the author masterfully depicts the spiritual world of the people, everyday life, and historical events. His works emphasize the value of labor as the basis of life, and through the artist's work one can recognize respect for working people and feel the image of that era.
The artist worked in various genres of painting: mainly genre paintings, and he is also the author of a number of portraits, landscapes, and paintings on historical themes. During his lifetime, he traveled to many foreign countries, including France, England, Brazil, Japan, the USA, Canada, Mexico, and India, leaving behind sketches of each trip. The artist's works have been presented at exhibitions in Canada, Belgium, Yugoslavia, etc. Nurmukhammedov is also the author of a number of scientific works on art history and several albums.
