On February 20, a unique cultural event will take place in the Great Hall of the Zhambyl Kazakh State Academic Philharmonic: French composer Francis Poulenc's monoopera "The Human Voice" will be performed in Kazakh.

This lyrical work, based on Jean Cocteau's play of the same name, is considered a masterpiece of 20th-century opera. The production focuses on the fate of one character, revealing profound psychological experiences associated with loneliness, love, and separation.

The dramatic character will be embodied on stage by Honored Worker of Kazakhstan Dariya Zhusip, who will showcase her unique acting and vocal talents. Musical accompaniment will be provided by the T. Abdrashev State Academic Symphony Orchestra of the Republic of Kazakhstan under the direction of Artistic Director and Principal Conductor Kanat Omarov. Performed in the Kazakh language, the production is particularly significant for national art and will give audiences the opportunity to hear a classical work in its national form.
